It's the nostalgia, it's mall food, it's consistent for me every time. My husband and I were in SD this past weekend and Mongolian is our constant. Maybe it's the mall rat days in us LOL but I've never had a bad meal here. You gotta know how to order! Sure sometimes the customer service is lacking but Im also not expecting much. It's clean, it's quick, & It taste good.

Centrally located in the food court of Plaza Bonita Mall and by far one of the most popular options there. This make your own bowl stir fried option is delicious and quick. The staff is very friendly and the menu is easy to go by. There's simply 2 options- meat or vegetarian bowl and you can add all the additional multitude of options to your bowl. They have about 8 different sauces as well that include lemon flavor, spicy, oyster sauce, lobster sauce, their special GK sauce and others to add flavor or spice. Once all options are chosen you can see them cook it right in front of you and have it ready in a few minute with you option of rice or noodles. I'd choose the noodles. Plenty of places to sit and eat. Meal is definitely shareable between 2 to 3 people. The only reason I provided this place with a 4 star is that despite the many flavoring sauces, I sometimes still think it lacks a like flavor. I enjoy my food very spicy and add on a lot more hot sauce. Overall, the price of the entree is amazing the the quality and quantity of the food given. Many vegetables and healthy options to choose from as well for those on a healthy diet.

Was walking around Plaza Bonita mall and always crave this place. There's something about just getting a container full of noodles that hits the spot. Service was fast and professional. Probably waited about 10min for food since there was line of people waiting. Took my food home and as always the food is always fresh and hot. Went with the noodles, beef, mixed veggies.

Context: Came here on a Friday night around 8:30 p.m. and surprisingly, there was no line. Service: The service was okay. The staff at the register was not very friendly. However, the staff who was taking our order was generous with the meat and vegetables. Food: We ordered an Entree with extra noodles. The noodles lacked some flavor from the sauce, and did not taste the same as I remember. Adding soy sauce made it taste better. They also ran out of sriracha, so we just added our own chili oil to it, which made the experience more pleasant. I suggest requesting for more sauces for enhanced flavor. Since we ordered extra noodles, our order was put into two boxes.
